The Blue Sky Farm, Michigan experience, will begin for our campers with a quick tour, and an orientation around the 10+ acre farm, situated under Vicksburg, MI, blue sky. The campers will be outdoors, breathing farm fresh air, participating actively in hands-on farm experiences that will spark wonder at every age.

Your camper will learn by planting and growing seedlings, some for the farm and some to take home. They will experience preparing soil in the gardens, including making compost in a variety of ways, including worms! Campers will learn about beneficial insects vs harmful insects.

They will help plant flowers for our very hungry pollinators! Each week we will hatch chicken eggs and talk about what happens inside the egg over 21 days it takes to hatch. Campers will help care for our flock and collect eggs each morning.

Our mama goat, Florence, had her first kids in March and they are growing leaps and bounds every day! Hazel is due sometime in July and I can’t wait to meet her kids! If campers are interested, they can help milk our mamas and then we will sample some cold milk and maybe make some goat cheese.

Campers will be busy the entire time they are on the farm. Don’t worry, they will also have some planned time to play games, do some cool craft projects, and they will come home happy and tired every day!
